About Me
Hi! My name is Ava Solot-Kehl, but I go by my
middle name Tess. I am originally from San
Francisco, California, where I lived until I
moved to the East Coast to attend Wesleyan
University in Connecticut. After completing my
undergraduate degree in studio art and sociology, I moved to New York
City. I am an artist and activist, interested in
bringing digital media and interaction into the
museum space. Having studied studio art and
sociology, I know how important and useful art
can be when teaching about and addressing
social issues. In 2024 I completed a 12-month
internship in the Met’s digital department and
am excited to further my skills in making art
more accessible, engaging, and impactful. I am currently pursuing my master's degree in NYU’s Interactive Telecommunications program.
